Principal's Message
Dear Valley View Elementary Staff and Community,
It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I join this wonderful learning community as the new principal. I have been with Los Angeles Unified School District since 2007. During this time, I have had the opportunity to teach at the elementary level as a general education teacher and as a special education teacher.
It feels like full circle and meant to be, for me to return, as I was a teacher here at Valley View in 2010 and then returned as an Assistant Principal-EIS in 2014. I know I have much to learn about Valley View because it has been quite some time since I worked here. I am ready, willing and excited to dig in! Together, we will continue to meet the needs of all our scholars.
As I worked in various schools as an administrator, my knowledge was enriched by the many people I met along the way. I am excited to continue learning from the Valley View Community and will readily share ideas and practices that may fit with our school.
I maintain an open-door policy and welcome people to collaborate to deepen and augment our instructional program and enrichment opportunities for all students. I feel that communication with all stakeholders is key to ensure student success. As I continue to access data to identify our strengths and areas of need, I will work in partnership with you to leverage our resources to continue providing meaningful and enhanced programs to expand student success.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know the students, staff, and families as we work together to continue providing a stellar educational program for the children we serve.
Warmly,
Behnaz Valamehr
